La Paix Guest House, established approximately 13 years ago by Maxie Kritzinger, is located in a quiet suburb of Beaufort West, 600 meters from the N1 highway. The establishment's name originates from a local farm that belonged to the founder's parents, with rooms named after camps from that same farm, reflecting its farm-style aesthetic.

Since changing ownership in August 2016, the guest house has undergone various improvements, including the implementation of the Nightsbridge booking system and ensuring all rooms have private entrances and en-suite facilities. The property features 10 units, including self-catering options, all equipped with DSTV, air conditioning, bar fridges, kettles with complimentary refreshments, and electric blankets.

The guest house boasts a beautiful garden attracting various bird species and includes a swimming pool. Security features include CCTV cameras, an automated electric gate, and secure parking for vehicles and motorcycles. Guests receive complimentary Wi-Fi access (50 megabytes).
