Lake Glencairn

Lake Glencairn is a prestigious Platinum Award-winning establishment situated beneath the Giant's Cup in the Southern Natal Drakensberg National Park, a World Heritage site. Located just 12 km from Sani Pass, the property spans 250 hectares within a secluded valley along the Pholela River catchment.

The estate features one of five lakes in the pristine waterway system, offering spectacular views of the Khanti range and high 'berg beyond. The lake and surrounding area support diverse wildlife, including fish eagles, waterfowl, otters, and small felines such as genets, civets, and caracals. The lake is well-stocked with rainbow and brown trout, with some specimens exceeding 10 pounds. The property is home to various game species including common reedbuck, mountain reedbuck, eland, zebras, blesbuck, duiker, and baboons, with over 100 bird species documented in the area.

The farm has recently welcomed its first horse birth under new ownership, a colt named Valor, and maintains a population of five zebras and thirteen blesbuck. Management has introduced 90 grass carp to maintain the lake's ecosystem. The property offers modern accommodation options, including a family suite and studio rooms, all situated within the secure farm environment.

Visitors can enjoy numerous on-site activities including horse riding, tubing, trail running, walking trails around the dam and river, and canoeing. The establishment also provides massage services.
