Lakenvlei Forest Lodge

Lakenvlei Forest Lodge is a self-catering accommodation located in a pine forest estate, approximately 10 kilometers north of Belfast in the Eastern Highlands of Mpumalanga province, South Africa. The area is renowned for its cool summers, frosty winters, and trout-filled streams and dams.

The lodge offers twelve luxury chalets constructed from solid pine logs sourced from the surrounding area. Each chalet is furnished in a comfortable cottage style, featuring a large open-hearth fireplace as the focal point in the living area. The chalets are equipped with fully-fitted kitchens, spacious bedrooms, and bathrooms. Daily servicing of the chalets is provided.

A main lodge on the premises houses a country-style restaurant specializing in country cuisine, as well as a cozy pub. Various activities are available at the lodge, including hiking, bass fishing, tennis, and horse riding. The lodge is suitable for hosting special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries, with flexible booking arrangements to personalize events according to individual needs.

Pony rides are offered at the lodge for children at a cost of R60 per child. The comfortably furnished chalets each have an en-suite double bedroom and an open loft with twin beds.
