Lalalapha

Lalalapha, formerly known as the Regent Hotel, was established in 1904. It provides secure, luxurious accommodation in an established setting, creating a relaxed environment for both business travelers and tourists alike. The old hotel has been transformed into a modern luxury retreat situated in the main street of Glencoe. Glencoe is located approximately 6km from Dundee and around 65km from Vryheid, Ladysmith, and Newcastle. It is also situated in the heart of the historic battlefields like Isandlwana, Blood River, Rorkes Drift, Elandslaagte, and the Talana Museum.

All rooms at Lalalapha are tastefully decorated and equipped with air-conditioning, DSTV bouquet, heaters, electric blankets, coffee and tea-making facilities, and en-suite bathrooms with bath or shower. Lalalapha, with its tranquil gardens, offers controlled access, good security, and undercover parking. The facilities on offer at Lalalapha include a Lady's Bar, a Bush Pub, a Guest Lounge with plasma screen TVs, and three conference venues.

The Conference Room can accommodate up to 75 guests in a schoolroom style and 110 guests in a cinema style. The Lapha can accommodate up to 130 people in a schoolroom style and 180 guests in a cinema style. Inkomfa, the inter-leading venue into the Lapha, can accommodate up to 120 people in a schoolroom style and 170 people in a cinema style. All Conference Rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities as well as air-conditioning. The budget room with two single beds includes coffee/tea facilities, TV with selected DSTV channels, fan/heater, and a private bathroom, but not an en-suite bathroom.
