Languedoc

Languedoc is a self-catering accommodation establishment located approximately 50 meters from the sea in the town of Lamberts Bay, which is situated on the west coast of South Africa, 280 kilometers north of Cape Town. It can be reached by turning off the N7 highway at Clanwilliam and taking the R64 road west.

Lamberts Bay is known for its moderate climate and long, unspoiled beaches, providing opportunities for activities such as surfing. The town offers various recreational facilities, including a 9-hole golf course, fishing opportunities, lobster diving (permits required), dolphin and whale watching (August to November), eco boat trips, 4x4 desert routes, and visits to Bird Island, home to the largest colony of Cape gannets in the Southern Hemisphere. The town also features a museum showcasing historical artifacts that illustrate its origins and development.

Languedoc offers self-catering units with sea views at reasonable prices. The units are fully furnished, and clean linen and towels are provided. Guests only need to bring their own food and clothing. Each unit has a sitting/dining area with 56-channel DStv, a fully equipped kitchen, and braai (barbecue) facilities. Languedoc can accommodate up to 12 guests at a time and is in close proximity to several facilities that offer venues for larger groups.

While Languedoc is not situated on a golf course, it is located near two golf courses. Each unit has its own private entrance, allowing for easy supervision of children by their parents. Some units offer sea views and are situated approximately 50 meters from the beach. The self-catering bedroom offers a double and single bed, 66-channel DStv, a small fully equipped open kitchen, a dining table with chairs, and a braai facility.

The rates for 2021 are as follows: R219 per adult per night sharing, R70 per night for children aged 0-7 years sharing, and R120 per night for children aged 8-16 years sharing. An additional charge of R50 per night per heater is applicable if heaters are utilized.
