Libby's Lodge

Libby's Lodge is situated in the Green Kalahari Desert, a region known for its contrasting landscapes where the forces of nature combine to create a unique and beautiful semi-arid environment. The lodge is located near the mighty Orange River and the vast expanse of the Kalahari Desert, allowing guests to experience the mysteries and secrets of this ancient African landscape that was once home to the San people.

The owners, Liesel and Hannes, provide luxurious comfort and warm hospitality in an atmosphere of peace and serenity. The lodge is centrally located in a safe neighborhood and offers professional service at an affordable rate. Guests can wander through the tranquil gardens and observe a wide variety of visiting wild birds, or relax by the cool, crystal-clear water of the pool and bush-styled gazebo.

Libby's Lodge offers seven spacious double rooms with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning. Each room is uniquely decorated and features a private veranda with views of the garden and pool area. Rooms are fully equipped, serviced daily, and include complimentary tea trays with a sweet welcoming surprise from the friendly staff. Additionally, the lodge offers three spacious self-catering family units with private barbecue areas, allowing guests to take advantage of the near-perfect weather conditions by grilling under the stars.

A full English breakfast is served to order, and breakfast or lunch packs can be arranged upon request (except on Sundays). The lodge provides ample garden space for children to roam freely in a safe environment, and a swimming pool is available for kids under adult supervision. The lodge's dogs are also welcoming to children.

Across from the guesthouse, there is a safe public park with a playground. The lodge's cozy double rooms are equipped with en-suite bathrooms with showers, flatscreen TVs with DSTV (commercial bouquet), coffee/tea trays, bathroom amenities, and heaters/portable air conditioners. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
