Little Forest Farm offers a tranquil retreat located just over an hour's drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria, with only 7 kilometers of travel on a reasonable gravel road. Operating entirely off-grid, the establishment mindfully limits the use of energy-intensive appliances, though a backup generator and microwave are available in the main house for guest convenience.

Situated in Maanhaarrand, the property showcases the natural beauty of the region's fauna and flora, and holds archaeological significance due to fossilized remains of ancient human and animal species found in the area. The farm features three distinct accommodation options: a Loft Apartment, a Cottage, and a Garden Suite.

The Loft Apartment accommodates four guests, with a queen bed downstairs and a double bed in the upstairs loft. It includes a kitchenette, Wi-Fi, lounge area, and a rooftop patio with braai facilities. The Cottage, which sleeps six, offers an open-plan layout with a fireplace, kitchenette, Wi-Fi, lounge area, and a covered patio with braai facilities. It features a wood-fueled rocket-stove "donkey" geyser for hot water. The Garden Suite, while connected to the main house, provides privacy with a separate entrance and exclusive bathroom. This unit sleeps two in a queen-sized bed and includes basic amenities such as a gas burner and whistle kettle, though it is not equipped for self-catering.
