Lodge Afrique

Lodge Afrique is an award-winning 4-star guesthouse located in St Lucia, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, having received the Lilizela provincial award for 2019/2020. The property features eight luxury thatched suites set within a lush tropical garden, connected by raised wooden deck pathways.

The establishment is uniquely positioned within South Africa's first World Heritage Site, the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. St Lucia Estuary, the only town completely surrounded by this World Heritage Site, borders the property and is home to approximately 800 hippos and 1,200 crocodiles. The location offers access to beautiful lakes, lagoons, freshwater swamps, and grasslands, supporting a diverse range of wildlife and bird species.

Each suite is equipped with full Afro-Victorian bathrooms, private outdoor African showers, and patios. The air-conditioned accommodations feature satellite TV, 24-hour WiFi, ceiling fans, tea and coffee facilities, hairdryers, wall safes, and bar fridges. The property welcomes children under two years old to stay free when sharing with parents using existing bedding.
