Loodswaai Game Ranch, situated on the edge of a vast crater formed millions of years ago when a meteorite entered the earth's atmosphere, offers visitors four unique biospheres. The expanse of the rich savannah plain is the abode of the gentle springbok, where they graze and frolic at leisure while mischievous zebra trot single file past on their way to one of the watering holes. The visitor is drawn towards the great topographical divide formed by the impact of the meteorite, where the nooks and crannies of the rocky outcrops nurture the shy, nimble-footed klipspringer. In this sculpted, dramatic natural divide, leopards are sometimes spotted amidst the distorted cacophony and demure symphonic overtures of raucous roaming baboon troupes.

Travelling onwards, a vast vista unfurls and unfolds as the visitor's eyes and senses feast on the lush bushveld tapestry of thorn trees and stalwart Tambotie sentinels far down below. With the dexterity of the patient tortoise, the game drive vehicle meanders between elegant giraffe dutifully topping thorn tree crowns, while the more amorous couples can be seen necking and playfully humping their hind quarters. There are three camping stands available for setting up tents, each stand accommodating two adults and two children. A small ablution facility with a toilet, shower, and basin is provided. Braai facilities are available, but there is no electricity.
