Lumley's Place Guesthouse is a family-operated bed and breakfast establishment owned by individuals of Khoi and Freed Slaves descent. It is located in the village of Pniel. The owners, Peter and Benita Cyster, have a passion for the rich history of the valley and families, the friendly people, the beauty, and the peaceful surroundings.

The guesthouse offers four en-suite bedrooms, each with its own unique theme, as well as tailor-made tours. It features a cold water outdoor swimming pool and open-air parking on the premises. Additional meals can be catered for upon request. Lumley's Place also offers a small wedding or conference venue.

Nearby facilities and attractions include the world-famous Boschendal, Molenvliet, Tokara, and Bartinney Estates, Johannesdal1207, Thelema, several golf courses, restaurants, and wineries. The guesthouse is located close to the University of Stellenbosch (11km) and a 5-minute drive from the Franschhoek Motor Car Museum. It is a 20-minute drive from Paarl, a 40-minute drive from Cape Town International Airport and the Strand beaches.

Intimate weddings with 10 to 80 guests can be accommodated, and during the super peak summer season, up to 120 guests can be hosted outdoors. Only in-house catering is provided. Mobile spa and beauty services are available, but guests need to book directly with the outsourced spa providers before arrival, as they are mobile masseuse and beauty therapists.

One of the rooms features a king or twin bed en-suite bathroom with only a shower. Breakfast is included. This is the most popular room, and the bathroom is heated. It is situated on the first floor with private sliding door access to the balcony just outside the bedroom, offering mountain and garden views.
