Lupela Lodge

Lupela Lodge is a working sheep and cattle farm offering country-style accommodation in the scenic Witteberg mountains, located on the R58 between Barkly East and Lady Grey in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. The property features three distinct accommodation options: Lupela Cottage (sleeping 10 with five en-suite bedrooms), Silo Cottage (sleeping 2 with one en-suite bedroom), and Lookout Cottage (sleeping 5 with two en-suite bedrooms). All accommodations offer both self-catering and catered options.

The lodge is renowned for being one of the most comfortable and attractive deep-country fishing lodges in the region, combining homely comfort with pleasing decor and well-equipped facilities. The property boasts spectacular views of deep valleys and sheer sandstone cliffs, carved by the majestic Karnemelkspruit and its tributaries. Visitors can experience diverse seasonal attractions, from snow-capped mountains in winter to warm, rainy summers.
