Lushof Lodge

Lushof Lodge is an accommodation facility located on a farm that offers open spaces and opportunities for children to enjoy themselves. The farm is suitable for bird watching and long, peaceful walks in fresh farm air. Nearby attractions within a few kilometers include a long-distance soaring center, a nature reserve, a golf course, a bowling green, fishing, and sailing facilities at Gariepdam.

The property features two separate cottages apart from the main house. The larger cottage is situated on the side of a mountain behind the farmhouse, while the smaller cottage is located on the dam wall. Both cottages provide linens and towels, and all meals are served within the privacy of the cottages. Dinner typically consists of Karoo lamb, vegetables, rice, roasted potatoes, and dessert. A cooked breakfast is also served, along with coffee, tea, juice, and rusks for guests' enjoyment.

The Upper Chalet accommodates up to seven guests and offers the option of either dinner, bed, and breakfast or self-catering. It has two bedrooms: one with a double bed and another with two single beds. There is an open-plan kitchen and lounge area, with an additional single bed and a sleeper couch in the lounge. The bathroom features a shower, toilet, and wash basin. Braai facilities (barbecue) and a beautiful view suitable for stargazing are available. Heaters, electric blankets, and fans are provided for guests' comfort during winter and summer, respectively. Housekeeping services are included.

The Lower Cottage, a cozy former mill house, offers accommodation on a dinner, bed, and breakfast basis. It has two single beds, a small fridge, a toaster, and a kettle. The bathroom includes a shower, toilet, and wash basin. Heaters, electric blankets, and fans are provided for guests' comfort during winter and summer, respectively. Housekeeping services are included.

Lushof Lodge promises warm and friendly Karoo hospitality, offering guests a peaceful and quiet overnight stay. The rates for the Top Chalet are R420 per person for dinner and bed, R350 per person for bed and breakfast, and R280 per person for bed only.
