Mabula Game Lodge has built up a reputation over many years as one of South Africa's leading family safari destinations. Mabula is more than just a game lodge; the Mabula Private Game Reserve is an incredible conservation success story, with swathes of ranches being restored to their former glory as natural bushveld.

Mabula provides a safe haven to many species, while focused breeding programmes, in collaboration with other reserves, are helping to ensure the future of creatures as diverse as cheetahs and southern ground hornbills. The lodge is easily accessible from either Johannesburg or Pretoria, with a drive time of just two hours from either city. Upon arrival, guests enter the wonderful world of the bushveld as the malaria-free landscape of Limpopo rolls out before them.

Nestling in the shelter of the Waterberg Mountains, Mabula is known for the diversity of its habitats, ranging from savannah to rocky outcrops. Hilltops such as the famous Christmas Hill offer superb views and settings for sundowners, while Mabula's many dams provide tranquil settings in which to enjoy a tea and coffee break during the morning game drive. Mabula Game Lodge has retained a distinctive, authentically African style of decor, with rooms noted for both their comfort and design. When it comes to dining, Mabula offers a number of intriguing venues, from the main dining room to the shady outside terrace and the boma. The surrounding bushveld can be explored on guided bush walks, horseback safaris, and quad bike excursions, as well as classic game drives. The variety of activities on offer ensures that both children and adults will have the time of their lives at Mabula Game Lodge.

Please be advised that the gate entry fees are not included in the rates. The lodge offers an exotic menu of time-honored spa treatments under the skillful hands of its therapists. Guests can calm their minds while absorbing the peace and tranquility of the surroundings and escape to a world without stress. Game drives are on offer to lodge guests twice a day, once early in the morning and again in time for sundowners in the late afternoon. If guests want to play a round of golf, they can visit Zebula Golf Estate, less than 10km from the Lodge. Children of all ages are welcome on the safari vehicles, with amenities such as a baby pool, tennis courts, play area, and wild zone available. Rooms have air-conditioning, LCD flat-screen television, en-suite bathroom, telephone, hair dryer, safe, and tea/coffee making facility, with both double and twin rooms available.
