Mac Mac Forest Retreat

Mac Mac Forest Retreat is strategically situated in the heart of Kruger Panorama, between Sabie and Graskop in Mpumalanga, South Africa, just 1.5 km from Mac Mac Falls along the Panorama route. Originally a forestry station, this tranquil retreat has evolved into a popular destination known for its stunning views of Mauchberg and its proximity to both the Escarpment area and Kruger National Park.

The facility offers 26 well-maintained camping sites equipped with ablution blocks, braai stands, water points, and electricity points. Additionally, there are five safari tents, each fully furnished with four beds and a sleeper couch, private bathroom facilities including shower, toilet, and basin, and a well-equipped kitchenette featuring a fridge, two-plate stove, microwave, and kettle, complete with crockery and cutlery.

Under the ownership of Mrs. Dorijn and Mr. Deon Verwey, and managed by Michelle Pieterse, the retreat has undergone continuous improvements while maintaining its core purpose as a peaceful sanctuary away from urban bustle.
