Mac Mac Forest Retreat

Mac Mac Forest Retreat is centrally located between Sabie, 1.5 km away from Mac Mac Graskop and Pilgrim's Rest in the picturesque Mpumalanga Escarpment area. It features a swimming pool and hiking trails to various waterfalls in the vicinity. The popular self-catering safari-tents can accommodate up to 4 people per tent and are well-equipped with amenities such as a fridge, kettle, microwave, braai-stand, and en-suite bathrooms. Additionally, the campsites are equipped with electricity points, braai-stands, and ablution facilities. Mac Mac Forest Retreat also caters to day visitors.

The resort used to be a forestry station but now offers self-catering safari-tents and campsites as accommodation options. Over time, the resort has become known for its scenic views of Mauchberg, tranquil atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, and central location for exploring the popular escarpment area and Kruger National Park. The accommodation offerings have undergone constant upgrades and have become increasingly popular.
