Macker Riverbend Cottages

Macker Riverbend Cottages is a family-run accommodation establishment located near the Panorama route and approximately 24 kilometres from the Kruger National Park. It offers top-notch accommodation in the form of three cottages and 10 Africamps boutique glamping tents. The cottages overlook the Sabie valley and are ideal for quiet getaways with a partner or family groups, offering a private experience. They are well-appointed, equipped for self-catering, and feature open plan lounge, dining, and kitchen areas. Crisp white linen and towels are provided, and each cottage has a braai facility or access to a communal braai area for larger groups.

On the banks of the Sabie River, at the foot of the farm, are 10 AfriCamps boutique glamping tents, offering a camping experience with luxury and tranquility. These fully equipped and decorated tents with fresh white linen cater to even the most discerning campers. Each tent includes a lounge and dining area, full kitchen, two bedrooms (sleeping 5 guests), and a bathroom with toilet, basin, and shower, accessible from both bedrooms, ensuring privacy. The tents are equipped with air conditioners for warm months and electric blankets and a fireplace for cooler months.

Guests can wake up to the sounds of the rapids and enjoy the beauty and sounds of the Sabie river. They can bring tubes, canoes, or kayaks to brave the grade 3 kayaking rapids, mellow out in the rock pools, or hike along the river trails. Bicycles are also welcome for riding, and children can enjoy a TV-free experience in nature, surrounded by abundant birdlife. A well-appointed 1-bedroom cottage with a queen bed and en-suite bathroom is also available, featuring a day bed and an additional roll-out bed in the lounge area, accommodating a maximum of 4 guests. It includes a fully-equipped kitchen and open-plan living area, as well as a private patio and fire pit/braai.
