Macnut Farm Wedding & Function Venue is an exclusive boutique guest lodge situated in the Assagay Valley. It is located along the banks of the Umhlatuzana River and forms part of the Madwala Conservancy with abundant fauna and flora. The 800 meters of riverfrontage and two waterfalls on the property provide a peaceful, relaxing, and rejuvenating environment.

Set in seven acres of gardens, paddocks, koi ponds, and pristine open spaces, the lodge offers a homely environment with touches of warmth and elegance. It offers the choice of luxurious and affordable rooms that are either en-suite or with a shared shower bathroom.

The lodge is situated halfway between Durban and Pietermaritzburg, just off the N3 and M13, and only 40 kilometers from King Shaka International Airport. The shopping centers of Hillcrest are five minutes away, while the larger Pavilion and Gateway centers are respectively 20 and 40 minutes' drive away. The Thousand Hills Tourism route is on its doorstep, and the famous Midlands Meander tourist attractions start within an hour's drive. There is a large and spacious room located downstairs with its own private study, en-suite bathroom and shower, and separate entrance. A double door opens up onto the gardens and looks down the lawn onto the river. This room is fitted with a king-size bed.
