Madisa Camp is nestled in the heart of Damaraland, in Namibia's north-western region. Located in the Sorris Sorris Conservancy, this eco-friendly safari camp is surrounded by dramatic landscapes, massive rock formations, and ancient Mopane Trees. The camp is particularly notable for its regular visits from desert-adapted elephants, who traverse the area in search of water and food, making it a true wildlife oasis.
The camp serves as an ideal base for exploring numerous nearby attractions, including the Twyfelfontein World Heritage Site, Brandberg (Namibia's highest mountain), Spitzkoppe, the Petrified Forest, and the Ugab and Huab Rivers. The facility operates with a strong commitment to protecting the region's sensitive fauna and flora while providing comfortable accommodation that doesn't compromise the authentic wilderness experience.
Visitors can enjoy various activities, including guided elephant tracking excursions and scenic sundowner drives where wildlife sightings may include elephants, giraffes, and springbok. The camp features a refreshing rock pool, and guests can gather around the communal campfire (affectionately known as "Bush TV") to share stories under the starlit desert sky.
The property is accessible by 2x4 vehicle and is situated between Uis and Khorixas on the C35, specifically on the D2612 road, 18km towards Twyfelfontein on the Goantagab River. Their philosophy of "meeting you as strangers, treating you as family, parting as friends" reflects their commitment to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
