Madrid Farm Cottages

Madrid Farm Cottages consists of three self-catering cottages situated in the garden on the Madrid Farm, which has been in the Mousley family's possession for 143 years. The cottages feature open-plan living areas with fully equipped kitchens and fireplaces, as well as private barbecue areas. One can enjoy the ever-changing colors of the mountains from the veranda, which offers spectacular views over the garden and mountains. The cottages are serviced, and in winter, the fireplace is packed free of charge, but guests must provide additional wood.

The Golden Gate National Park is approximately 12 km away, where visitors can enjoy various hiking trails. The scenery is spectacular, and the rock formations in the area offer many photographic opportunities. There are also horse riding facilities nearby.

While Madrid Farm Cottages does not cater specifically for entertaining children, they are welcome to run about and play anywhere in the large garden. There is also a large flat grassed area, formerly a tennis court, which is suitable for ball games.

Sunrise Cottage is a two-bedroom stone cottage with two bathrooms. The bedrooms offer a choice of either a king-size or twin beds, and there are also two extra pull-out beds. One of the bathrooms contains a shower, while the other is en-suite with a bath. The open-plan living area features an open fireplace and leads onto a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, microwave, kettle, and toaster. The patio features a private barbecue area with views of the garden and mountains. Linen and towels, extra blankets, electric blankets, and heaters or fans are provided. A garage is available upon request, and extra wood is available for purchase.
