Magoebaskloof Birders' Cottages are located on Dragonwyck Farm in the Magoebaskloof area, situated on the edge of the Limpopo Drakensberg escarpment. The accommodation comprises two self-catering cottages surrounded by indigenous plants, providing an ideal habitat for various bird species and animals. Access to the cottages is via a 2 km dirt road, which may not be suitable for low-profile cars or drivers unfamiliar with dirt roads.

Narina Cottage is fully equipped for self-catering accommodation, featuring a gas stove, fridge/freezer, microwave, and kitchen utensils. Linen and towels are provided. It has a double bed and a large couch in the bedroom, suitable for younger children. The cottage includes a portable braai stand and a built-in braai/fireplace in the rondavel, which is perfect for cold and wet Magoebaskloof days. It has an inside shower and a private outside double bath. The cottage is not serviced daily, and hot water is supplied by an electric geyser with a wood-burning donkey (geyser) as backup. The units do not have TVs, and smokers are kindly requested to smoke outside. Pets are not allowed. A box of wood is supplied per day for the warming fire, while charcoal and braaiwood can be purchased on the farm.

Trogon Cottage is also fully equipped for self-catering accommodation with a gas stove, fridge/freezer, microwave, and kitchen utensils. Linen and towels are provided. It has a single bedroom with a king-size bed that can be converted into two single beds upon request. Trogon Cottage features an inside fireplace that can be used as a braai when it is cold and wet, as well as a portable braai. It has an inside shower and a double bath with a private double bath outside. Like Narina Cottage, Trogon is not serviced daily, and hot water is supplied by an electric geyser with a wood-burning donkey (geyser) as backup. The units do not have TVs, and smokers are requested to smoke outside. Pets are not allowed. A packet of wood is supplied per day for the warming fire, while charcoal and braaiwood can be purchased on the farm.

Robin Cottage offers self-catering accommodation with two bedrooms, both equipped with double beds. The cottage can be booked by a couple or a family. It has an outside bathroom with a double bath, shower, and toilet, as well as an inside bathroom with a shower and toilet. The second room has a double bed on the mezzanine level and two single beds on the lower level. Linen and towels are provided. The cottage is not serviced. Hot water is supplied by an electric geyser with a wood-burning donkey (geyser) as backup. The self-catering kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, fridge/freezer, and microwave oven. A braai stand is supplied, and firewood is provided for the indoor fireplaces, but guests should bring their own braaiwood or charcoal. The cottage is a non-smoking zone, and smokers are kindly requested to smoke outside. Pets are not allowed.

The cottages are surrounded by indigenous and bird-attracting plants, allowing guests to observe many of the farm's bird species from the veranda. Excellent birding opportunities are available by walking on the paths that follow the streams and lead into the forest. Dragonwyck Farm is a working farm producing avocados and indigenous plants. Various walks can be enjoyed on the farm, following the streams and providing access to the escarpment forest. Woodbush Forest, one of the premier birding spots in South Africa, is also a short drive away, and there are several scenic drives in the district offering excellent bird-watching opportunities. Fishing and adventure activities are available in the nearby Haenertsburg area.
