Magoebaskloof Camping Sites offers a tranquil retreat in the mountainous landscape of Limpopo Province, conveniently located near Haenertsburg and Tzaneen, within a three-hour drive from Pretoria. The establishment is nestled among lush subtropical vegetation, featuring fresh running water and refreshing mountain air.
The 64-hectare property encompasses 4 hectares of gardens and 1.5 hectares of dams, with seven fully grassed camping and caravan sites positioned between two mountains, overlooking a trout dam. Each of the 10m x 10m demarcated sites comes equipped with individual amenities, including a braai area with switchable lighting, table top, wood storage space, and dustpan. The sites are serviced with electrical outlets protected by 15-amp circuit breakers with earth leakage, and individual drinking water taps, while strategic lighting ensures visibility throughout the camping area.
Modern ablution facilities are provided with separate sections for males and females, featuring tiled surfaces, glass-door showers, changing areas, toilets, basins with mirrors, and electrical outlets. The property offers recreational activities including a volleyball court and a scenic hiking trail that follows a perennial stream to the farm's summit, showcasing three waterfalls where visitors can enjoy natural spring water showers or swing on monkey ropes.
The location provides an ideal environment for nature enthusiasts, with opportunities to explore forests and riverside areas while observing diverse bird species and the protected Samango monkeys in their natural habitat. This destination serves as both a peaceful stopover for travelers and a comprehensive outdoor experience for holiday makers seeking a natural retreat.
