Makumu Private Game Lodge is a luxurious unfenced establishment located in the wilderness of the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve in Hoedspruit, South Africa. The word 'Makumu' in the Xitsonga language refers to an intangible explanation of an open space, an uncluttered lookout over distant horizons, or an endless view. The Klaserie Private Nature Reserve is one of the largest privately owned nature reserves in South Africa, covering some 60,000 hectares and forming part of the greater Kruger National Park. Makumu Private Game Lodge is an intimate oasis in this vast wilderness, surrounded by the harshness, unpredictability, and unspoiled appeal of the African bushveld. It has six luxurious and beautifully appointed suites, accommodating a maximum of twelve guests, ensuring an exclusive blend of absolute comfort, style, and privacy.

Makumu Private Game Reserve offers game drives as well as game walks, all accompanied by experienced Shangaan guides. The lodge features a room with a theme inspired by bows and quivers of arrows, evident in the earth-colored bed cover and printed bedding.
