Makuwa Safari Lodge

Makuwa Safari Lodge is an exclusive bushveld retreat situated in the Greater Kruger area, positioned just 20 kilometers from the Orpen Gate of Kruger National Park. The lodge is set within a private game reserve that teems with buffalo, plains game, and diverse birdlife, offering guests an authentic African wildlife experience.

The accommodation comprises elegant whitewashed houses featuring thatched roofs and expansive patios that provide panoramic views of the wilderness and the Drakensberg Mountains. The property's grounds showcase manicured lawns adorned with indigenous acacia, marula, and fig trees, while the surrounding untouched bushveld serves as a natural habitat for various predators, mammals, and birds.

The lodge accommodates up to 18 guests across seven rooms, including two family rooms. Each room is thoughtfully designed with a minimalist aesthetic, featuring monochromatic black and white tiled en-suite bathrooms, premium white linens, and Persian carpets adding warmth to the space. Glass sliding doors open onto private patios, maximizing the connection with the natural surroundings.

The central communal areas include a casual bar, dining facilities, and a boma set under large trees for atmospheric outdoor dining. Additional amenities include a sparkling swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers, extensive patios, and a private communal lounge. The lodge offers breakfast, dinner, and refreshments, with a limited bar service available.
