Mamagalie Mountain Lodge

Mamagalie Mountain Lodge is located in the heart of the magnificent Magaliesberg mountain range. It is situated northwest of Johannesburg, approximately an hour and a half's journey away. Upon arrival, guests can relax and unwind with a refreshing drink while taking in the majestic views over the Buffelspoort Valley and dam from the swimming pool area.

The lodge offers peaceful and elegant evenings with cozy log fires indoors or the option to sit around the fire pit outdoors, cooking and enjoying the star-studded skies while listening to the nocturnal inhabitants. Guests can start their day with a stroll through the secluded kloof, immersing themselves in the exquisite sounds of the awakening bush.

The lodge features 1000 acres of private and pristine bush and mountain veld for guests to explore at their leisure. Energetic walks to the top of the mountain offer breathtaking views, and if the weather permits, guests can take a dip in the pure, sparkling rock pools. The bush is a paradise for nature lovers, with numerous species of flora and fauna, including the opportunity to spot the Black (Vereaux's) Eagle and Cape Vulture, as well as an abundance of smaller bird species.

The lodge is let to only one party at a time, ensuring absolute privacy. The accommodation sleeps from two to twelve people in stylish luxury and has been 'world class'. Friendly staff service the lodge, allowing guests to take time away from the daily grind. The self-catering luxury unit features a fully equipped kitchen with a large stove, fridge/freezer, and convection microwave, with guests only needing to provide food and beverages during their stay.

The newly opened Bush Lodge offers the ultimate in privacy, with a four-star unit featuring a private plunge pool and braai area built over three levels into the tree canopy. Sleeping from two to four people, it has a luxurious bathroom with a bath and shower, separate toilet, and a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, oven, and large fridge/freezer. Game walks on an active game farm are included and encouraged, and natural rock pools exist in the mountain streams. All units are extremely private and romantic, with some featuring double spa baths.

The nearby Mooinooi Golf Club is one of the top-rated 18-tee, 9-hole courses in the country, located just 8 km from the lodge. The lodge also offers a large family unit that can sleep up to 12 people, with three double rooms and an open-plan bunk room for extra adults or children. Additionally, there is a unit that sleeps two to four people in two bedrooms, with stunning views of the Buffelspoort Dam. This unit is fully equipped for self-catering, with a fridge/freezer, solar geyser, and gas backup. It features a bath/shower, an outside shower, a plunge pool/braai area, and is very private and secure with an alarm and electric fence, along with high decks.
