Maninghi Lodge

Maninghi Lodge is situated on the banks of the Olifants River in Balule Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park. The property offers spectacular views spanning 3km of the Olifants River and Blyde River Canyon mountains, regularly attracting diverse wildlife including elephants, hippos, and lions that frequent the river. The lodge has recently implemented solar energy backup systems to ensure continuous power supply during nationwide loadshedding periods.

The accommodation consists of three main lodge rooms and two safari tents. The main lodge features two en-suite River View rooms (one with an extended bedroom accommodating two children) and one en-suite Garden View room. All rooms are elegantly appointed with mini-bars, coffee/tea stations, and air-conditioning. The safari tents are fully equipped with electricity and plug points, sharing a communal bathroom located 30 meters away. The property can accommodate up to 12 guests in total, with complimentary Wi-Fi available throughout.

The lodge's facilities include an outdoor seating area, indoor dining room, bar, and lounge. A highlight is the outdoor pool overlooking the Olifants River, providing an excellent vantage point for game viewing. Guests can enjoy observing wildlife from the pool area or watch birds in the property's two sycamore fig trees.

Activities available to guests include game drives, guided walks, bird watching, visits to Kruger National Park, Mariepskop 4x4 excursions, Blyde River Canyon tours, and visits to various local attractions including Jessica the Hippo, Moholoholo Rehabilitation Center, and Kinyonga Reptile Center. Additional activities include golf at Drakensig Golf Club, hot air ballooning, and Olifants River safaris, making it suitable for families, couples, and corporate guests alike.
