Marina Magic

Marina Magic, situated on the Royal Alfred Marina in Port Alfred, offers a home-stay experience in a tranquil environment. The owners, Liz and Kevin, share common areas with guests. It is an ideal spot for those seeking peace and quiet to unwind and explore the serene Sunshine Coast and diverse Eastern Cape.

The guest suite, located on the first floor of the owners' home, comprises two bedrooms and two bathrooms with doors leading to a balcony overlooking the Marina. The main bedroom features a king-size bed, ceiling fan, TV with DSTV channels, microwave, bar fridge, and espresso machine. The ensuite bathroom has a toilet, basin, and spacious shower. The second, smaller bedroom has two single beds and a ceiling fan, with a private bathroom across the passage featuring a toilet, basin, and shower over the bath.

Guests are welcome to use the spacious patio area by the water, where they can fish from the canal wall or jetty, and utilize the owners' canoe to explore the Marina and Kowie River. While Marina Magic does not offer meals, complimentary rusks and biscuits are provided, along with coffee and tea-making facilities. Nearby eateries serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner at reasonable prices.

The Marina complex offers a swimming pool, tennis court, squash court, and a large heated indoor pool for a small fee. Guests can take a 15-20 minute walk to the Eastern Beach, where they can stroll along unspoiled beaches or watch surfers. Other stunning beaches are a short drive away.

Liz, from the Netherlands, speaks Dutch, English, Afrikaans, German, and French, while Kevin, a local, speaks English and Afrikaans and is knowledgeable about the area's history. Guests are required to provide identification documents and vehicle registration for security purposes upon arrival.
