Maroela Camping Site in Kruger National Park, operated by Sanparks, is a campsite that caters exclusively to the needs of guests with caravans and campers, being one of only two camps in the park dedicated to this purpose. It provides an opportunity for visitors to experience the freedom of the outdoors without the presence of pre-erected accommodation structures, allowing for a more direct connection with nature.

The campsite is situated near the fence, offering guests the opportunity to witness a mesmerizing spectacle as a diverse array of animals gather at a small watering hole. Additionally, visitors can immerse themselves in the beauty of the natural world and take in the breathtaking views from a rustic viewing platform overlooking the majestic Timbavati River.

Effective from September 1, 2017, visitors aged 18 and above are required to present a valid identification document, such as an ID, passport, or driver's license card. The campsite aims to ensure ease of access by making the entrance and exit process as smooth as possible for guests.

The rates charged by the campsite are tailored to the number of adults and children staying, and the quotes provided include a 1% Community Levy to support local initiatives. However, guests are advised to pay the daily conservation fees directly to the camp upon arrival. The campsite promotes responsible tourism and contributes to the preservation of the precious ecosystem.

The campsite offers camp sites with communal ablutions and cooking facilities, which can accommodate up to six guests per site. The campsites are equipped with power points, and a maximum of six people are permitted per site. Guests are advised to request appropriate tariffs based on the number of guests and children staying.
