Maskam Guest Farm

Maskam Guest Farm is situated 6 kilometers from the N7 (Cape to Namibia route) and 10 kilometers from Vanrhynsdorp, along a dirt and gravel road. It is the perfect location for travelers on the N7, business people in the area, tourists seeking to experience peaceful farm life, and a paradise for botanists.

The guest farm offers three fully equipped two-bedroom cottages, complete with DStv, WiFi, coffee and tea facilities, and air conditioning or fans for summer, as well as heaters or cozy fireplaces for winter. All cottages have barbecue facilities with panoramic views of the surrounding Maskam and Gifberg mountains.

The kitchens in the cottages are fully equipped for self-catering, while those who prefer to be pampered can order a delicious dinner and full breakfast. Activities on the farm include mountain climbing, walking routes, birdwatching, bicycle routes, a swimming pool, a playground for children, and farm animals. During August and September, the farm is covered with beautiful flowers, with a total of 1,500 species.

Attractions in the area include the Gifberg tour, wine tours, Victorian buildings, and a Kokerboom nursery in Vanrhynsdorp. Day tours can also be arranged to Nieuwoudtville, Clanwilliam, or Strandfontein.

The guest farm claims to offer the warmth and welcome known as Maskam Guest Farm hospitality. It can accommodate up to 40 persons for a wedding and offers versatile services, including flowers, food, and other wedding-related arrangements. The cottages are very private, with beautiful views and starry nights. One private cottage overlooks a dam that attracts local birds and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. This cottage is spacious and comprises two en-suite bedrooms, one with a double and single bed, and the other with a double bed.
