Mata Mata Rest Camp is situated on the banks of the Auob River, where the wilderness meets the Namibian border within the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The camp is set amidst the Kalahari dune bushveld, offering an oasis for nature enthusiasts. Visitors can witness giraffes that have adapted to the arid conditions gracefully roaming through the camp.

The camp provides a range of amenities to ensure a comfortable stay for guests. It features a reception area, a swimming pool, and a well-stocked shop. Fuel facilities are available, and electricity is provided by a generator for 18 hours daily. Mata Mata is located approximately 2.5 hours' drive from Twee Rivieren, the gateway to the park.
