Mavela Game Lodge

Mavela Game Lodge is situated in the heart of the Manyoni Private Game Reserve, which is home to the Big 5, near Mkuze in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It is an all-inclusive luxury tented bush lodge that offers local and international travelers the opportunity to have intimate encounters with African wildlife. The owners, the Stevens family, are committed to conservation and preserving wildlife for future generations, and they recognize the region as a prime birding spot with exceptional game viewing opportunities.

The lodge is managed and operated by the Stevens family, who ensure that guests are greeted with friendly hospitality and the highest standards of service. Mavela has become a popular destination for guests seeking an authentic wildlife and "Big 5" experience, which includes lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhino. In addition to the Big 5, the reserve also strives to protect and conserve some of the most endangered species in Africa, such as the Temminck's Pangolin, African Wild Dog, Black Rhino, and Cheetah.

Experienced and highly trained guides at Mavela Game Lodge share their love of nature with guests during morning and afternoon game drives. Each drive is customized according to the requests of the guests, ensuring that every drive is unique and exciting. Accommodation at the lodge is in five luxury safari-style tents with en-suite bathroom facilities. Each room has a private deck with beautiful views over the surrounding bushveld, and private dinners can be arranged for a romantic experience.

The luxury safari-style tents feature en-suite facilities and double outdoor showers. Each room has a private viewing deck with a birdbath, allowing guests to observe wildlife from the privacy of their room. A conservation levy of R175 per person per night is not included in the rate.
