Meadow Lane Country Cottages

Meadow Lane Country Cottages is situated in a tranquil environment amid a park-like setting, just outside of Underberg. It offers five self-catering cottages surrounded by beautiful old trees and lively birds, including peacocks that display their colors. A notable feature of Meadow Lane is the dam, which is home to weavers, moorhens, and visiting ducks, geese, and cormorants. The dam is stocked with bass, and catch-and-release fishing is welcome. It is a small dam suitable for casual fishing and enjoyment by children.

Visitors can enjoy the presence of ponies and a sweet little donkey named Rosie while having breakfast on their veranda. Otters can be spotted swimming between the dam and the river. There is a trampoline, swings, monkey bars, and a short zip line over the dam for children to enjoy. Meadow Lane has its own airstrip suitable for light sport aircraft, and hangar space is available. Activities in the area include trout fishing, horse riding, walking trails along the river, mountain bike trails, hiking, tubing, and canoeing, among others.

One of the cottages has recently been renovated and features two bedrooms with a double bed and twin single beds. It has a fully equipped self-catering kitchen, an open plan living/dining area with a cozy fireplace, and a bathroom with a shower. The cottage also has a veranda with a braai.
