Merlon Self-Catering House

Merlon Self-Catering House is a charming and simple yet comfortable holiday home situated in the picturesque village of Betty's Bay. It is located close to Stony Point and within a kilometer of Silversands Beach. The house offers a home away from home experience to recharge from the stresses of city life. It provides self-catering accommodation for up to 10 people, with five bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Bedrooms One and Five contain king-size beds, while Bedrooms Two, Three, and Four have single beds. The beds in Bedrooms Two and Three can be converted into king-size beds upon prior arrangement. Bedrooms One and Five have en-suite facilities, one with a bath and shower, and the other with only a shower. The third bathroom is a large family-sized one with a shower and bath.

The house offers 200 plus TC linen to ensure a comfortable and restful stay. The large farmhouse-style kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, electric oven, dishwasher, toaster, fridge, microwave, chest freezer, crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans. Some kitchen consumables are provided for guests' use during their stay, such as salt and pepper, olive oil, tea and coffee, spices, dishwashing liquid, detergent for the dishwasher, black bags, and toilet paper. Guests need to bring their food, drinks, beach towels, and personal toiletries.

Two braais on wheels are available, and wood can be obtained from the garage or superette in Betty's Bay. Braai grids and tongs are provided for use during the stay. While there is no music system to enhance the peaceful ambience, DStv is available for cold winter nights when guests cannot be outside. A DVD player is also available. Board games like 30 Seconds, Junior Scrabble, Dominos, Snakes and Ladders, Ludo, Uno, cards, and Zanzibar Boa are provided for entertainment. A washing machine is available on the property.
