Metcalfs Longbeach Accommodation

Metcalf's Longbeach Accommodation is an upstairs self-catering flat located above the main residence in the lovely area of Kommetjie, Cape Town. It offers two bedrooms, a separate living/eating/kitchen area, and a large balcony with stunning sea views. The establishment is smoke-free, but guests are welcome to smoke on the balcony. The main bedroom has a queen-sized bed, and the second bedroom has two single beds. The bathroom, which includes a shower, toilet, and hand basin (no bath), is accessible directly from the main bedroom. Guests sleeping in the second bedroom would need to access the bathroom through the main bedroom.

Linen and towels are provided, but guests are asked to bring their own beach towels. The flat is serviced weekly, with an additional cleaning fee of R200 charged on these occasions. Guests can rest assured that the apartment is fully sanitized before any arrivals. The flat is fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, a fridge, microwave, three-plate cooker with a small oven, linen, DSTV, and free WiFi. A separate two-plate gas cooker with a gas bottle is also provided for load shedding periods. Guests have access to a Weber kettle braai, and secure off-street undercover parking is available on-site.

While there is no washing machine in the flat, laundry facilities are available in the village. Guests can enjoy an easy walk down to the famous Long beach, and there is also a swimming pool for those seeking warmer waters. Pets are unfortunately not permitted. It is recommended that guests have their own transportation or arrange transportation, as Kommetjie is approximately 8 kilometers from the nearest shopping malls (at Sun Valley) and about 15 kilometers from the nearest train station (at Fish Hoek). The Kommetjie deli, garage shop, cafes, and restaurants are about a 20-minute walk from the apartment. The Cape Town City center is 40 kilometers away.

Metcalf's Longbeach Accommodation is a 15-minute drive from the Clovelly Golf course and slightly longer to the Simons Town links course. It is situated close to the world-famous Long Beach, one of South Africa's surfing mecca beaches. Guests can enjoy lovely sea views from the deck and lounge, and the walk to the beach is no more than 5-10 minutes.
