Metsi Lodge

Metsi Lodge is located in the malaria-free, 37,000-hectare Welgevonden Game Reserve in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. The lodge accommodates one party at a time, providing guests with an exclusive holiday tailored to their preferences. It comprises five luxury bedrooms and offers both fully catered and self-catering options.

The lodge is designed for small groups of friends or families seeking to indulge in authentic African hospitality and comfort. The prices are inclusive of three meals per day, snacks and soft drinks during game drives, and two daily game drives conducted by an experienced ranger in an exclusive game viewer vehicle. Self-catering options and specials are available for South African residents.

Metsi Lodge prides itself on being an eco-friendly lodge within the Welgevonden Game Reserve. Its energy is sourced exclusively from renewable solar power, minimizing its carbon footprint on the environment. The lodge utilizes eco-friendly systems, products, and materials to ensure minimal impact on the natural surroundings and seamless integration with the environment.

The lodge can accommodate up to 10 guests on an exclusive basis. During daily game drives, guests are comfortably seated in a land cruiser game viewer under the guidance of a highly experienced and qualified ranger, who provides insights into the reserve's wildlife.

The lodge rents out exclusively to one group of friends or family at a time. Children and babies are welcome at the lodge and on game drives, under the supervision and care of their parents.

The five large bedrooms are divided into a three-bedroom and a two-bedroom house, connected to the main lodge via a raised walkway. Each bedroom features an en-suite bathroom, with four rooms offering an outdoor shower for a natural experience. The bedrooms within each house have inter-leading passages, ensuring privacy while allowing parents to check on their children if needed. All rooms overlook a pond, immersing guests in the surrounding natural environment. Each bedroom is equipped with a stocked bar fridge, tea/coffee facilities, and a crackling fireplace for cozy winter nights in the bush.
