Midgley's Hotel is located in the heart of Adelaide, South Africa's Eastern Cape. It is a historical hotel that has been carefully renovated to maintain its Old Worlde charm with high ceilings, spacious rooms, solid wood furniture and fittings, and a generally gracious atmosphere. The oldest part of the hotel dates back to 1858 and faces the town square. It was built by the Midgley family as a hotel and has remained as such ever since.

The hotel has changed ownership several times and has experienced highs and lows throughout its history. However, since the current owners took over in 2002, Midgley's Hotel has regained its status as the focal point of the town and the district, often referred to as the "Grand Old Lady of Adelaide."

Midgley's Hotel offers 24 comfortable and clean bedrooms, three of which are family units. Many rooms have a pleasant view of the trees and gardens in the town square, and all rooms feature an en-suite bathroom with either a bathtub, a shower, or both. Whether passing through or exploring the town and surrounding area, guests are unlikely to be disappointed with their choice of staying at Midgley's Hotel.

The hotel features a large and airy dining room that can accommodate up to 60 people, serving excellent a la carte meals to both guests and visitors. Midgley's Hotel takes pride in its cooking, and being located in South Africa's prime beef-producing area, the restaurant offers exceptional steak and beef dishes.

Midgley's Hotel features two bars: a convivial sports bar where guests can mingle with locals and enjoy meals from the restaurant, and a ladies' bar with a fireplace, wooden beams, and cozy nooks. At the heart of the hotel is a charming courtyard with palm trees, where morning or afternoon teas and Sunday lunches can be enjoyed al fresco.
