The property is home to various bird species, such as guinea fowl, louries, weavers, sunbirds, and barbets, creating a peaceful and tranquil setting reminiscent of the Bushveld amidst the urban landscape of Gauteng.

Each bedroom at Mmuthlwa Lodge is individually decorated and features its own entrance, en-suite bathroom, personal amenities, television with M-Net and DSTV, fully stocked minibar, tea/coffee-making facilities, hair dryer, wall heater, overhead ceiling fan, clock radio, and personal safe. The lodge also offers laundry and ironing services.

Mmuthlwa Lodge serves a full English breakfast daily in a comfortable dining room with a fireplace. Lunches and dinners are available upon request, and the lodge can accommodate individual dietary needs. The lodge also offers a conference venue that can seat up to 25 people in a schoolroom-style setting, housed under a thatched roof with large windows and sliding doors leading outside. The conference venue has its own bathroom facilities and allows for outdoor lunches and tea breaks surrounded by Bushveld trees.

In addition to accommodations and conference facilities, Mmuthlwa Lodge is a suitable venue for intimate weddings, private parties, cocktail functions, and baby showers. The lodge provides equipment and catering services tailored to individual client needs. Madelein, with 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, can assist with requests for decor, entertainment, and other event-related services.
