Modderkloof Farm Accommodation

Modderkloof Farm Accommodation is situated at the foot of the Drakenstein Mountains near the Huguenot Tunnel on the N1. It is a working fruit farm that produces guavas, plums, buchu, and wine grapes. The grapes are delivered to Boland Wine Cellars. The building used for guest accommodation was formerly the home of Cornel and Elize Grobbelaar (third generation Grobbelaars), which was recently renovated and divided to accommodate three self-catering units.

The accommodation is approximately 10 minutes' drive from the town center, local schools, and hospitals. The main residence of the farm is located on the same site as the guest apartments. Guests are welcome to use the swimming pool at the main residence or go for a walk higher up on the farm, where they can enjoy beautiful views of the valley, Paarl Mountain, the Taalmonument, and, on a clear day, Table Mountain. Mountain bikes are welcome, and guests can also play tennis on the available tennis court. Additionally, guests are invited to pack a picnic basket and find a spot anywhere on the farm to relax and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of nature.

Modderkloof Farm Accommodation is a member of the Drakenstein farm watch and has a working alarm system in the guest areas. Farm tours can be arranged for guests upon request. Guests can go for hikes and mountain bike rides between the vineyards. Two bedrooms are available: Room 1 with a king-size bed or twin beds, and an en-suite bathroom (bath/shower); Room 2 is a family room with a double bed and two single beds, and an en-suite bathroom (shower). The accommodation also features a large, fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a fireplace, and a patio with braai facilities.
