Molweni Cottage

Molweni Cottage is a self-catering farm cottage located on an organic cattle farm situated 12.5 kilometers from the historic town of Graaff-Reinet. The cottage offers an ideal setting for various outdoor activities, including mountain biking, walking, birdwatching, and photography, thanks to its abundant wildlife and scenic surroundings. Guests can enjoy barbecues (braais) under the night sky, either in the firepit or on the terrace.

The cottage features a double bed, a shower, and a toilet. It is equipped with air conditioning, a sitting room with a kitchen, a fireplace, and Wi-Fi access. Additionally, the cottage provides two terraces, and linen and towels are included. Molweni Cottage offers a simple and peaceful retreat on a typical Karoo farm, ideal for those seeking tranquility and relaxation.

Having a personal vehicle is essential for accessing the cottage, as the road is regularly graded but may still have corrugations. While a 4x4 vehicle is not strictly necessary, the owners strongly recommend either a 4x4 or a high-clearance vehicle for added convenience. It is important to note that while many saloon/low-slung vehicles visit the cottage, visitors do so at their own risk, especially during rainy periods when the road may become boggy.
