Mondjila Safari Camp is strategically located 30 kilometers south of the Etosha National Park, on the route to Outjo in Namibia's Kunene Region. The name "Mondjila," derived from the Osi Wambo language, means "to be on your way" or "to be on the road," perfectly reflecting its position as a stopover destination.
The accommodation comprises 11 luxury safari tents elevated on stone patchwork concrete bases, each featuring en-suite bathrooms, twin beds, standing fans, and mosquito nets. Each tent includes a private veranda with seating, offering unique views of the surrounding Mopane landscape. Additionally, there are two family rooms with en-suite facilities and eight grass campsites, each equipped with individual power points, lighting, and braai (barbecue) areas. Campsite guests have access to an ablution block with hot water and flush toilets.
The main facility features a thatched dining area and wooden bar, both providing panoramic views of the landscape. Guests can enjoy the swimming pool, hiking trails, and complimentary WiFi. The property also includes an outside boma and open-fire pit, perfect for evening gatherings and stargazing under the Namibian sky. Additional amenities include a curio shop selling local artifacts, laundry services, secure parking, and internet connectivity.
The camp's design and layout emphasize the natural beauty of its surroundings, offering visitors an authentic safari experience while maintaining comfortable amenities and services. Its location makes it an ideal base for exploring the Etosha National Park and surrounding areas.
