Mont Plaisir Guest Farm is a working grain farm located 6 km outside of Fouriesburg. It is owned by Dutch proprietors, Mark and Anna Mari, who named the farm 'Mont Plaisir', which translates to 'Pleasure Mountain'. The farm offers four luxurious self-catering units and one en-suite room in the historic 'Old Main House'.

Fouriesburg is situated in the Brandwater Basin, south of Bethlehem, and offers scenic views of the Red Mountains, the White Mountains, the Maluti Mountains, the splendid Golden Gate National Park, and many historic sites from the Anglo-Boer War. The area is ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, horse riding, fishing, 4x4, quad biking, and abseiling, as well as for those seeking relaxation.

The Eastern Free State, particularly the Fouriesburg area, is situated just a few kilometers from the Lesotho border. Annual events in Fouriesburg include the Asparagus festival in September/October, the Surrender Hill marathon (a qualifier for the Comrades marathon) in the last week of February, and the Cherry Festival in Ficksburg in November.

All buildings at Mont Plaisir Guest Farm have fireplaces and their own braai facilities. The units are fully equipped and include bedding and bath towels. The accommodation beds are either king-size, queen-size, or single, with extra-length mattresses. The units are set in a beautiful garden with trees and spectacular views, featuring a lapa where guests can enjoy sunsets or stargazing while having a cool drink. During their stay, guests can pick and eat fresh vegetables and fruit in season.

The Eastern Free State offers a mild summer climate and serves as a gateway to unique winter sports experiences in Africa. Located on the Lesotho border, Fouriesburg is only 65 km away from 'Afri Ski', a unique venue for winter sports in Africa. The Afri Ski resort and the Maluti Mountains offer an unspoiled experience of winter fun in the snow, easily accessible via a tar road leading up to the ski slopes at 3500 meters.

One of the accommodations at Mont Plaisir Guest Farm is a double en-suite bedroom with a shower and bath, as well as coffee and tea facilities and the use of a small fridge.
