The Montagu Country Hotel is situated in South Africa's dried fruit capital and center of the famous Route 62. It is the only original Art Deco hotel in the country that has been welcoming visitors through its iconic stained-glass doors since 1875. The hotel has 29 individually furnished en-suite bedrooms, including 13 luxury rooms and 14 classic rooms. Additionally, there are two self-catering units, one of which is wheelchair-accessible, suitable for families or business travelers seeking a home away from home for a few days.

The south-facing deck area of Feathers & Flatcaps Coffeeshop and Cocktail Lounge welcomes the morning sun and offers magnificent views over the Langeberg Mountains. Guests can enjoy light lunches and platters on the deck while sipping regional wines, cocktails, mocktails, or specialty Bootlegger coffees. Charlestons Restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, with breakfast served in the spacious Breakfast Room and glass-enclosed Garden Patio overlooking the lush green gardens. Dinner is a more formal affair, where Chef Werner Blom fuses traditional South African cuisine with fine dining flair and presentation in a romantic candlelit setting reminiscent of bygone days.

The Lubbe Lounge, dedicated to the late Gert Lubbe, a renowned figure in the South African tourism industry and former owner of the hotel, provides a cozy space for reading or socializing before or after dinner. Lush gardens surround the hotel, offering a tranquil escape, and two swimming pools provide relief on hot summer days. The on-site Wellness Spa specializes in health and beauty treatments, featuring a mineral Jacuzzi bath and sauna, and offers various couples treatments.

The hotel's activity hub houses three of Montagu's popular activity operators: Cape Dry, Flying Feet, and Protea Farm Tractor Trips. Guests can book daily excursions and activities or gather information about the area from the Montagu-Ashton Tourism Office without leaving the hotel. Explore the Robertson wine route in a chauffeur-driven American Dream Car, with two Classic Cadillacs from the 1950s and 1960s available. A new dedicated conference, banqueting, and team-building venue has been established, making the hotel a perfect location for functions, events, or special celebrations, given the region's exciting outdoor activities, proximity to Cape Town, and Klein-Karoo hospitality.

The Classic rooms, though smaller than the luxury rooms, are designed for extreme comfort with en-suite bathrooms, hairdryers, air conditioning, television, telephone, free Wi-Fi, and coffee and tea-making facilities.
