Moon Mountain Lodge

Moon Mountain Lodge is an exclusive retreat nestled in the Namib Desert, located on the Diep Rivier East farm, 30 kilometers south of Solitaire. The property offers a perfect balance of luxury and wilderness, positioned strategically near Sossusvlei while maintaining privacy for its guests.

The accommodation comprises 17 units in total, featuring 11 luxury tented rooms and 6 spacious suites. Each unit is equipped with en-suite bathrooms and private decks with splash pools. The suites include additional private lounge areas for enhanced comfort. All rooms offer panoramic views of the Naukluft Mountains, with frequent sightings of local wildlife including gemsbok, springbok, and mountain zebra.

The lodge's main facilities include the Nebula Restaurant, known for its traditional cuisine and farm-to-table offerings from their on-site garden, supported by a water recycling system. The restaurant can accommodate up to 46 guests. The Cosmos Bar and deck provide ideal venues for sunset viewing and stargazing, taking advantage of Namibia's minimal light pollution.

Guest amenities include free Wi-Fi in the main restaurant area, room service options, and in-room refrigerators. While rooms intentionally exclude televisions to enhance the natural experience, a TV is available in the main building's lounge. The lodge also caters to special occasions, including weddings for up to 60 people, with comprehensive event planning services.

Activities available to guests include excursions to Sossusvlei, stargazing sessions, hiking trails, sunset drives, scenic flights, bird watching, and hot air ballooning. These activities are offered either directly by the lodge or through trusted local partners.
