Mopane Bush Lodge

Mopane Bush Lodge is a tranquil bush retreat located in the Mopane Bushveld on the private 7200-hectare Mapesu Private Game Reserve. It offers luxury fully catered accommodation in 15 secluded twin-bedded en-suite thatched chalets, with one being wheelchair-friendly. Each chalet has its own kraal incorporating an outdoor shower. Additionally, the lodge has four self-catering chalets.

The lodge serves delicious meals prepared simply in its spacious dining room, boma around a fire under the stars, lapa around the pool, or in the bush. It features a comfortable lounge with a small library, providing an ideal retreat for leisurely moments. Guided tours are arranged to Mapungubwe National Park, the ancient Kingdom of Mapungubwe (a UNESCO world heritage site), San Rock art, specialized predator tracking, and birding safaris, including a significant wetland.

Activities included in the rate for guests staying at the lodge within the nature reserve include bush drives, game tracking, and birding in a safe environment, with the option of a guide. The thatched chalets are air-conditioned and feature a main bedroom with two twin beds or one double bed, one bathroom with a shower, a bar fridge, a tea/coffee station, a desk, a large closet, a private garden area with a table and chairs with views of the bushveld, and a private outdoor shower.
