Mosamane Guest Farm

Mosamane Guest Farm is an eco-friendly, self-catering lodge situated on a traditional farm. The farm offers activities such as hiking, bird watching, and the opportunity to observe squirrels, small game, blessbuck, and ostriches. The renovated barn on Mosamane farm has been converted into a lovely five-bedroom lodge, with each room having an en-suite bathroom, and the lodge can accommodate up to 17 guests.

If the backpackers room is included, it can accommodate an additional 7 guests. The bedrooms and communal living area feature fireplaces. The backpackers accommodation has seven single beds, a covered deck area, and an ablution block with six toilets and six showers. The open-plan kitchen area is equipped with a fridge, a gas stove, a large dining table, and sofas in the lounge area. There are two additional kitchens with built-in braai areas, and for those who prefer an open-air braai, there is also a boma.

Mosamane Guest Farm offers additional activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and bird watching. Parking is undercover and on the premises. The Mosamane Hiking Trail is a 9km trail suitable for the average to fit hiker, costing R70 per person, and pre-booking is required. Rosendal is a popular mountain biking destination with over 300km of gravel roads in the area, and the town has an informal cycling club that welcomes participants of all skill levels. Horse riding can also be organized on request at Moolmanshoek, with payment made directly to them.
