Motswari - Geiger's Camp is located in the heart of the untamed South African landscape, a place that remains untouched and teeming with wildlife, where predators and prey are locked in a constant struggle for survival. The region is renowned for its incomparable beauty and offers an authentic African experience.

Situated deep within the Timbavati Nature Reserve, this vintage game lodge exemplifies the harmonious balance between understated luxury and conservation. It is a family-owned game reserve that has been under the care of the Geiger family for over 40 years. The name "Motswari" means "to conserve and protect" in the Tswana language, indigenous to the area.

The 150-square-kilometer game reserve has long been a sanctuary for a diverse array of plant and animal species, which are increasingly rare on the African continent. Visitors can witness the unyielding nature of the bushveld and observe the secret habits of animals as they go about their daily lives in the Timbavati Nature Reserve.

Effective March 1, 2019, all guests dining at Geiger's Camp are requested to dress in smart casual attire. Gentlemen are kindly asked to wear long pants/trousers and closed shoes (no sports shoes).

The camp specializes in morning and evening game drives in open Land Rovers accompanied by professional field guides and trackers, as well as morning bush walks and overnight walking safaris led by experienced guides.

All four spacious, air-conditioned rooms feature en-suite bathrooms, crisp white linen on the beds, and large mosquito nets draped over four-poster frames to ensure a comfortable night's rest. The Motswari Private Camp offers an old-world atmosphere, with vintage bathrooms and brass taps, evoking a sense of romance, simplicity, and a profound connection between humans and nature.
