Mountain Rock Cottage

Mountain Rock Cottage is situated in Barberton, located in the heart of the Makhonjwa Mountainlands in the De Kaap Valley, one of the oldest regions and the core of a proposed World Heritage Site. It is located within 30 minutes' drive from the Kruger Park's Malelane gate and 1 hour's drive from the Mozambican border, Rusano Garcia border post.

The main cottage at Mountain Rock Cottage has a main bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, and a second bedroom with a single bed. The loft area features 2 three-quarter beds and a single bed. All rooms have built-in cupboards and linens provided. There is a boma equipped with a braai and fireplace, and a children's playground is located near the boma area, which can be utilized at one's own risk. An outdoor cold shower is available for cooling down on hot days.

The establishment offers various activities in the area, including birdwatching opportunities, self-drive 4x4 routes, hiking, fishing, and mountain biking. Visitors may also have the chance to spot small game such as kudu, impala, and bushbuck during walks. A vehicle with high ground clearance is required to enter the premises.

Blueberry Cottage is a newly added free-standing self-catering cottage at Mountain Rock Cottage's premises. It features 2 rooms, a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and braai facilities. The bedrooms are equipped with air conditioners, and the establishment is pet-friendly.
