Mthembuskloof Country Lodge

Mthembuskloof Country Lodge is situated in Pieterskraal, 105 kilometers away from Pretoria, at the foot of the Magalapeng hills. The lodge provides a serene retreat from the city. It can accommodate up to 12 guests in four chalets and two luxury tent rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms.

The chalets overlook a verdant garden veranda and offer easy access to the pool. Each chalet is equipped with air conditioning, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and a mini-bar. The tent rooms, located amidst the natural flora, offer a more exclusive bushveld experience with views of the Magalapeng hills. These rooms feature a kitchenette with tea- and coffee-making facilities and a mini-bar. Braai facilities are also available on-site.

Guests can unwind by the pool while enjoying a refreshment or visit the Mountain View Bistro's restaurant and bar, which features mountain vistas. Additionally, there is a boma area on the premises. The lodge's beautiful garden creates a picturesque setting for small, intimate events such as weddings, birthday parties, team-building exercises, business retreats, or family reunions.

Outdoor enthusiasts can participate in guided walks through the Mthembuskloof hills, where a variety of bird life can be observed. Overnight stays in tents on the hills can be arranged for this activity. The lodge welcomes motorcyclists and offers guided off-road excursions in the hills and surrounding areas. Guests can bring their own bikes or rent 250cc off-road bikes or quad bikes from the lodge. The lodge can also arrange boat trips on the Rust De Winter Dam, located 60 km away.
