Mtonjaneni Lodge

Mtonjaneni Lodge is a 3-star country lodge located on the R34 road halfway between Melmoth and Ulundi in KwaZulu-Natal province, South Africa. It was established in 1997 by the managing owners, Nico and Rina Harris. The lodge caters to the leisure, corporate, and international tourism markets, offering a unique service.

Mtonjaneni Lodge features 26 en-suite rooms, which can accommodate up to 55 guests if shared. Three of the classic rooms can be converted into family-friendly rooms upon request. All rooms are equipped with amenities such as LED screens, hotel bouquet DSTV, air conditioning, bar fridges, guest amenities, and coffee/tea facilities.

The lodge provides various services, including a breakfast buffet served between 6:00 am and 9:00 am, an a la carte menu with a variety of options for different tastes, and a fully licensed bar open daily from 11:00 am. Guests can socialize and enjoy the sun by the unique rock pool, and Wi-Fi is available for guests to stay connected. Daily housekeeping services are provided, with the option to have shirts cleaned and ironed upon request.

Mtonjaneni Lodge offers several activities and attractions, such as an animal petting farm, a country craft shop featuring local businesses and crafters' products, and a Zulu historical museum.

The lodge serves as a wedding and function venue set against the backdrop of the gorgeous eMakhosini Valley. It offers a complete wedding package, including catering according to preferences, use of a chapel, a beautiful indoor venue for up to 140 guests, a bridal room, a honeymoon suite, and a garden for wedding photos. Additionally, the conference facilities can be customized to individual needs, accommodating a maximum of 60 people in a cinema-style setup. Multimedia projectors, screens, flip charts, whiteboards, markers, water, and mints are provided, with meal packages available upon request.
