Muratie Wine Estate

The Muratie Estate offers two charming accommodation options steeped in history and character. The George Paul Canitz Guest Cottage combines Old World charm with Bohemian aesthetics and modern comfort, offering guests spectacular views of the Simonsberg mountain range. The estate, with its 300-year heritage of art and Cape viticulture, provides an ideal setting for holidays, business stays, weddings, and honeymoons.

The GP Canitz Guest Cottage is an intimate space featuring a bedroom with a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom complete with shower and bath facilities. The cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances and a comfortable lounge area with television and DSTV access. Guests can also enjoy outdoor BBQ facilities.

The Ben Prins Studio, situated within the historic Melck family homestead, shares the estate's characteristic blend of Old World charm and Bohemian aesthetics. Named in honor of Ben Prins, who served as Muratie's winemaker through the 1960s, 70s, and 80s, this accommodation maintains the estate's rich heritage while providing exceptional comfort. Both accommodations are designed to host a maximum of two guests each.
