Mziki Safari Lodge is located within the 6000-hectare Mziki Private Game Reserve, which is home to four of the "Big Five" animals (elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard), as well as a diverse range of wildlife and landscape. The Hex River flows through the middle of the Game Reserve for 8 kilometers, providing a picturesque natural feature.

The lodge presents itself as a family-friendly destination, offering a wide range of activities suitable for children of all ages. One of the popular offerings is the Mini-Rangers course, which includes activities such as archery, bush education, animal tracking, and learning about the medicinal uses of plants. Children who complete the course receive a certificate and a lifelong keepsake memory of their time at Mziki.

Guests can enjoy wildlife sightings from the swimming pool, which overlooks a watering hole where animals frequently gather. Safari activities include game drives in open land cruisers, bush walks, fishing in the river, and a unique barge cruise into the bordering 2000-hectare Vaalkop Lake, offering breathtaking scenery and birdlife (water levels permitting).

For relaxation and pampering, the lodge offers massage services provided by the team at Ha Lolo Beauty Spa. Additionally, the Mzki Spa facility offers a range of rejuvenating treatments that guests can enjoy in the comfort of their rooms, allowing them to relax their body and soul amidst the peaceful surroundings of the African bush.

Mziki Safari Lodge provides a malaria-free environment where families with children of all ages can enjoy safari viewing in a safe, comfortable, and relaxed setting. The lodge caters to couples as well, offering private dining experiences and a romantic setting for special occasions. Children are entertained with a jungle gym set within the lodge's indigenous gardens and the engaging Mini Rangers Course.

Accommodation options include spacious 2-bedroom family chalets, which can accommodate up to four persons. These chalets feature private decks with views of the lodge's waterhole, separate entrances, and each bedroom has its own access to the shared bathroom.
