Nabana Lodge

Nabana Lodge is a small family-run lodge located in a rural area surrounded by banana farms. It is a tranquil haven with magnificent views over the eastern escarpment. The lodge is well-known among locals and nationally, and is the second oldest business name listed in Hazyview.

Nabana Lodge aims to provide a memorable experience for guests, exceeding their expectations. The lodge is fully catered and facilities include clean and comfortable rooms, a vibrant pub, free Wi-Fi available in public areas, a restaurant, a sparkling pool amidst extensive gardens, a safe children's play area, and a large parking area directly off the main road.

The rooms are 3 Star graded and en-suite, featuring DStv, a ceiling fan, a small safe, a coffee and tea station, and a microwave. All rooms, except one with a double bed, have twin beds, and two units have interlinking doors for easy access to children. The rooms overlook the escarpment with beautiful vistas to the east.

The on-site bar is a gathering place for locals, business travelers, and tourists to share their experiences and enjoy a cold drink. During major sporting events, a large screen creates an electric atmosphere.

The restaurant offers a relaxed dining atmosphere on the deck overlooking the gardens or indoors. The extensive menu includes a children's section, and the lodge caters to individual needs, such as providing breakfast packs for early explorers. The restaurant is open all day from Tuesday to Saturday, from 07h00 until 19h30, except Sundays when it closes at 14h00. On Mondays, the kitchen is on standby for in-house guests.

Nabana Lodge is located directly on the R40 between White River and Hazyview, with easy access to a large car park. Guests can also park their vehicles at the rooms in a safe environment surrounded by one farm, an electric fence, and a night guard for added security.

The lodge is ideally situated on the Panorama Route, with the nearest gate to the Kruger Park 23 km away. Nearby attractions include Sabie, Pilgrim's Rest, Graskop with its beautiful waterfalls, the Mac Mac Pools, and God's Window. Adventure activities such as white water rafting, tree top sailing, hiking, golf, elephant interactions, and many more are available in and around Hazyview.

Nabana Lodge specializes in smaller intimate weddings, offering different menu options and tailor-made setup and decor according to the budget. The large gardens provide a wonderful setting for ceremonies and wedding photographs. Although there is no on-site spa, mobile spa treatments can be arranged in the rooms.

Two golf courses are located approximately 15 km from Nabana Lodge: Sabie River Sun, an esteemed 18-hole course, and Kruger Park Lodge, which has a 9-hole course.

Children are loved and valued at Nabana Lodge. Large lawns, a netball hoop, a football net, a jungle gym, and a bicycle/skateboard track provide healthy entertainment for children. A pond teeming with fish and tadpoles also fascinates the young guests.

Poinsettia Cottage, a 3-bedroom standalone dwelling with a fully equipped kitchen, braai, and swimming pool, is located on a working banana farm approximately 600m from Nabana Lodge and offers accommodation within 15 km of Hazyview.
